Presets

Presets let you save and restore a BroRig blueprint setup (which modules are on which joints, and their settings).

Useful when: - You rig multiple similar characters that have the same skeleton hierarchy and naming. - You want to reproduce the same setup across scenes.

Saving a preset

  1. Install all needed modules on the skeleton.
  2. In the BroRig window, under Presets, choose or type a file path.
  3. (Optional) If you are using the Skeleton Builder and have guides in the scene, the preset can also store the guide positions.
  4. Click Save Preset.

This creates a JSON file with: - Module list per rig part. - Which joints each module uses. - Module settings (control shape, etc.).

Loading a preset

  1. Make sure your skeleton joints exist and are named consistently with the saved preset.
  2. In the BroRig window, under Presets, select the JSON file.
  3. Click Load Preset.

The tool will: - Recreate the rig parts and modules. - Restore settings and connections. - Optionally restore the skeleton guides (if saved).

If some joints are missing, the preset loader will list them and ask whether to continue.

Tips

  • Store presets in a shared project folder for your team.
  • Use them to standardize rigs for series of characters.
